For more than 30 years there has been a movie playing in Opunake at Everybody’s Theatre. The historic building, completely restored inside and outside, now has with the latest digital screen technology and brand new luxury seating upstairs. In addition to all the latest new releases, the theatre also hosts boutique nights, playing a selection of classic, foreign and fringe films. Movies play on Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights at 7pm, with a matinee on Wednesday and Saturday at 1 pm.

Tell us about your team. Who does what?
Maree Drought is the Treasurer and financial manager for the Theatre and has done a great job applying for funds over the years also a projectionist.
Jenny Bennett is our Secretary and Advertising person and a projectionist.
Rachael & Mac, Joellen & Richy Hughson-How have been helping at the Theatre for years. Mac is now a projectionist.
Graeme & Judy Dodd have been helping for years as volunteers and Graeme is still a projectionist, moving from the 35mm to the digital projector.
Kim (projectionist) and daughter Ruby Gatenby (shop) and great volunteers as well.
The cleaning team is Robyn Chard, Michelle Holmes & Sharon Wilson.
There are many more volunteers that help in all aspects of running the theatre and helping out to give our patrons a unique and enjoyable time.
