Karl and Sarah Southall have just launched Kakama Kayaks from their base in Normanby.  Kakama is the Maori word for quick and nimble, and that's just what the Southalls are: both grew up in England and competed in canoe slalom events all over the UK and Europe in the 1980's and 1990's. Now settled in South Taranaki, they are bringing their competitive paddling experience to their kayak business.
